SIGRATHERM® ePCM Composite Materials guarantee high storage density and fast charge/discharge cycles.


Phase Change Materials (PCM) are materials whose latent heat produced mainly at the solid-liquid phase transition point (heat of fusion), is used in technical applications. Water/ice is the best-known example of a PCM. Salt hydrates as well as paraffins are among the PCMs widely used for other temperature requirements. Pure PCM show high storage density, long charging and discharging cycles and low thermal conductivity.


SIGRATHERM ePCM is a graphite/PCM compound material made from expanded graphite with encapsulated PCM material. It is supplied in plates and sheets.
