Description

Aluminium casting alloy (pressure die casting),Material EN AC-AlSi12Cu1(Fe) is produced as diecast. It shows the following casting characteristics and properties: plasticity: good heat crack resistance: good pressure tightness: acceptable workability (after heat-treatment): acceptable corrosion resistance: acceptable decorative anodic oxidation: not advisable weldability: unsuitable polishability: acceptable strength at room temperature: good strength at increased temp. (up to 200°C): good ductility (impact strength): acceptable fatigue strength amounts 60 to 90 N/mm² ( best available casting method, values for vibration durability up to 50*10 hoch 6 cycles [Woehler diagram]). Diecast weldability depends on the embedded gas amount and is mostly insufficient. For certain cast methods are achievable good to acceptable values. To the comparable DIN-mark GD-AlSi12(Cu), mat. No. 3.2982, acc. to DIN 1725-2 : 1986-02 applies: The diecast material is an eutectic alloy of excellent casting properties. It shows a favorable expansion at mean strength. It is suitable for complex, thin-walled, pressure tight, vibration resistant and impact loaded casting parts. Application: equipment, machine, vehicle and apparatus engineering cases, blade wheels, finned bodies, implement carrier.
