Description

METALENTA, a unidirectionally reinforced fiber glass tape, is a composite material based on a modified polymer, unidirectionally reinforced with glass roving and a complex of additives that give the material increased resistance to thermal oxidative degradation during processing and operation.

Application areas

METALENTA, a unidirectionally reinforced fiberglass tape, is applied for creation an external protective and reinforcing fiberglass coating of steel pipelines with a diameter 219 to 1420 mm with an external polymer anticorrosive coating. Fiberglass coating is designated to protect the anticorrosive polymer coating from mechanical stress during the construction, operation, repair and reconstruction of the pipeline. The material is also applied for creation an external protective layer of extrusion pipes and cables to prevent surface damage during installation and operation and for creation a reinforcing layer to strengthen the structure in the production of composite pipes, sheets, panels, honeycomb structures, etc.
