Description

1.6587 (18CrNiMo7-6) Blank Hardened Nickel Chromium Molybdenum Steel with good toughness and good machinability.

Heat Treatment

Soft annealing: 650-700°C (Oil, Polymer), Carburizing: 880-980°C (Oil, Polymer), Core Hardening 830-870°C (Oil, Polymer), Surface hardening: 780-820°C(Oil, Polymer), Tempering: 150-200°C (Air)

Hot forming

It is formable at 850-1100°C

It is usually weldable.
