Description

EN-GJN-HV600(XCr14) is a cast iron with a structure consisting of complex carbides. In the tempered conditions the matrix is mostly martensitic with partially austenite or other austenitic modifications. The material is comparable with DIN-materials G-X 300CrMo 15 3 and G-X 300 CrMoNi 15 2 1 acc. DIN 1695 : 1981-09 (invalid). Acc. to DIN: the materials are characterised by a high wear resistance and higher impact strength. The wear resistance increases with the carbon content, while the impact strength decreases. The machinability of material under annealed conditions depends on the carbon content. The material has a good hardening behaviour (G-X 300 CrMoNi 15 2 1). Cast parts made of cast iron with a high content on chromium are delivered under unfinished casting or heat treated conditions.
