Description

The material LC-NiCr15Fe with the material number 2.4817 is applied in the form of strips, sheets, tubes, bars, wires and forgings for corrosion-resistant construction components. It is similar to the material NiCr15Fe (material number 2.4816), yet with a very low carbon content, and it shows excellent resistance to intercrystalline corrosion and stress cracking corrosion at elevated temperatures, too, and it possesses good resistance to dry chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride. Application preferably at temperatures below 450 °C. Application for steam generators in pressurized water reactors and boiling water reactors, for moderating coolers and feed-water heaters, for the production and processing of sodium hydroxide and vinyl-chloride monomers and in the paper and cellulose industry.
