Description

The material NiCr20AlSi with the material number 2. 4872 is applied in the form of strips and wires (see also heating conductor alloys according to DIN 17470 or electrical resistance alloys according to DIN 17471) for heating conductors and resistors. The material possesses a high electric resistance. A determinate low temperature coefficient can be adjusted, it shows a low thermoelectric potential against copper, shows a high strength and is not ferro-magnetic. The alloy is highly creep-resistant and scale-resistant. Application particularly for high-ohm resistors for measuring purposes and precision resistors.
