Description

TH 660, mat. No 1.0376, is a double cold reduced band (black plate in coils) of soft unalloyed steel and in the surface qualities plain, stone finish and matt for conventional packaging sheet, hardness HR30T m 77. The band is produced in thicknesses of 0,17 to 0,29 mm in steps of 0,005 mm. The surface is oiled in order to avoid corrosion. The band is applicated for the production of - electrolytically tinned tinplate, DIN EN 10203 Tin used for coating has to show a purity grade of 99,85%. Preferred tin plating values (double-sided) are: 1,0 1,5 2,0 2,8 4,0 5,0 5,6 8,4 11,2 g/m² Tinplate is also delivered diferentially coated. In this case is necessary a special designation . Surface appearance of tinplate is determined by the surface characteristics of the basic material and the type of tincoating. Available surface qualities: stone finish - electrolytically special chromed steel (ECCS), DIN EN 10202 Total Cr-content used for coating consists of metallic chromium and chromium oxides. The mean coating weight of metallic chromium accounts for 50 to 140 mg/m² and 7 to 35 mg/m² for chromium oxides. Surface appearance of ECCS which follows from the application of work rolls of a special surface texture during the last cold rerolling steps is determined by the surface characteristics of the basic material. Available surface qualities: stone finish For the choice of surface refined extra-fine blooms has to be considered the final consumption purpose, e.g. requirements, such as suitability for punching, drawing, folding, beading, welding and soldering. Application of black plate: - cans, jugs, canister, buckets - household articles, boxes, closures - ceiling elements, fittings, pressure plates etc.
