Description

SKYi Stärk BH1118 is a special heat stabilized long glass fibre reinforced polybutylene terephthalate grade, for injection moulding and extrusion. The long glass fibres, chemically coupled to the polybutylene terephthalate matrix, providing outstanding mechanical properties. SKYi Stärk BH1118 is available both in black and natural.

Application areas

SKYi Stärk BH1118 is intended for injection moulding of highly demanding technical applications. The excellent properties of SKYi Stärk BH1118 make it suitable for: Electronic components, automotive parts, door handle, demanding components for various engineering sectors.

SKYi Stärk BH1118 can, in many of these applications, substitute other engineering plastics or metal alloys.

Available both in black and natural.

Other

Safety: SKYi Stärk BH1118 is not classified as a dangerous preparation. Dust and fines from the product may give a risk for dust explosion. All equipment should be properly earthed. Inhalation of dust may irritate the respiratory system and should be avoided. During processing of the product small amounts of fumes are generated, which require proper ventilation.

Recycling: The product is suitable for recycling using modern methods of shredding and cleaning. Inhouse production waste should be kept clean to facilitate direct recycling.
