17-4PH Stainless Steel
1.4542 (X5CrNiCuNb16-4) is a well-established precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel capable of achieving very high strength and hardness after a relatively simple heat treatment. It offers excellent corrosion resistance combined with a structured range of mechanical property levels depending on the precise heat treatment applied. It is readily machined and fabricated in the softer tempers and can then be heat-treated to exceptional strength and dimensional stability. It shows the following features and properties:
