Description

The material NiCr22Mo6Cu with the material number 2.4618 is similar to the material NiCr22Mo7Cu with regard to corrosion properties. It is less weldable and less resistant to corrosion attacks in the heat affected zone. The material is resistant to pitting, crevice and stress cracking corrosion. It behaves outstandingly to strongly corroding, chloride- and fluoride-polluted sulphuric and phosphoric acid. Application for plants for the production and processing of sulphuric, phosphoric and nitric acid. For components in flue-gas desulphurization and waste incineration plants, in the paper and cellulose industry and for the extraction of acid gas. In the new edition of the DIN 17744 : 2002-09, the material is not contained any more.
