Description

The material NiCr22Mo7Cu with the material number 2.4619 is applied for corrosion-resistant construction components in the form of strips, sheets, tubes, bars, wires and forgings. It is a further development of the material NiCr22Mo6Cu (material number 2.4618) and has an excellent resistant to pitting, crevice and stress cracking corrosion. The alloy is of good weldability and possesses good resistance to intergranular corrosion in the welded condition. The low carbon content prevents sensitizing and its results, i.e. intergranular corrosion of the heat affected zone of the welding seams. The material is oustandingly resistant to strongly corroding chloride- and fluoride-polluted sulphuric and phosphoric acid. Application for plants for the production and processing of sulphuric, phosphoric and nitric acid. For components in flue-gas desulphurization and waste incineration plants, in the paper and cellulose industry and for the extraction of acid gas.
