Description

The heat-resistant steel Stahl X15CrNiSi25-4, mat. No 1.4821 shows a max. resistance up to 1100 °C (highest application temp. in air). The material is resistant to oxidizing, sulfureous gases shows resistance to reducing, sulfureous, carburizing, nitrogenous and oxygen deficient gases. Application in a temp. range of 400 to 500°C and 600 to 850 °C should be avoided due to the embrittlement risk. Permanent application temp. accounts for 900 °C. Application for oven components and fittings, for winding ropes, rails, drums.
