Molybdenum Zirconium Oxide Alloy (MZ17)
Glass melting electrodes must withstand aggressive glass melts and very high temperatures. By adding 1.7 percent zirconium oxide by weight, the molybdenum zirconium oxide alloy features properties that are of particular value for the glass industry. MoZrO₂ offers better corrosion resistance against glass melts, greater stability at high temperatures and better creep resistance than pure molybdenum.
