Description

1.3243 (HS6-5-2-5) Quenched and Tempered high-speed steel which due to its cobalt content shows high red hardness and tempering resistance. As a consequence, this grade is particularly suitable for conditions involving thermal stresses and discontinuous cutting.

Heat Treatment

Soft annealing: 820-860°C (Cooling in furnace) - Stress relief annealing: 630-650°C (Cooling in furnace) - Hardening: 1190-1230°C and quenching in air, oil or salt bath T=550°C - Tempering: at least 3 times 540-570°C
