Description

1.3247 (HS2-9-1-8) Quenched and Tempered high-speed steel based on molybdenum with high wear resistance, red hardness and toughness. As a result of its low vanadium content, this grade exhibits good grindability.

Heat Treatment

Soft annealing: 820-860°C (Cooling in furnace) - Stress relief annealing: 630-650°C (Cooling in furnace) - Hardening: 1160-1190°C and quenching in air, oil or salt bath T=550°C - Tempering: at least 3 times 530-560°C
