Heat Treatment

Normalizing 850-880°C (Air), Soft annealing: 650-700°C (Oven, slow cooling), Quenching: 830-860°C (Oil, Polymer), Tempering: 540-680°C (Air)

Hot forming

It is formable at 850-1100°C and should then cooled slowly in the oven.

Processing history

Quenched and Tempered

Welding

It is difficult to weld and should will not used be in welded constructions.
