Description

The material NiCr23Fe with the material number 2.4851 is applied in the form of strips, sheets, tubes, bars and wires for heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant construction components. Due to the Al- and high Cr-content, the alloy possesses a good resistance to oxidation at high temperatures. In combination with outstanding scale-resistance, the excellent high-temperature tensile strength permits application temperatures of up to 1150 °C. Good resistance to carbonizing and nitriding. Resistance to stress cracking corrosion in the presence of chloride ions as well as to corrosion in high-purity water and alkaline mediums. Application for baskets, holding devices, jet pipes, belt conveyors and furnace rolls in annealing furnaces, insulating inserts in ammoina-splitting plants and for catylitic agent carrier grids in the production of nitric acid, components for exhaust gas catalyting converters, combustion chambers in waste incineration plants, muffles and transport rolls for ceramic furnaces, components for gas turbines, oxygen-preheaters in the production of titanium oxide, bolts and screws for fire-resistant anchoring as well as bleeding-off heads.
