Description

The general corrosion properties of NiCr21Mo6Cu with the material number 2.4641 are comparable with those of NiCr21Mo (material number 2.4858). It possesses a good resistance to reducing and oxidizing mediums and, due to the high Mo-content, it also is resistant to pitting in strongly chlorine-polluted mediums. Furthermore, the material is virtually insensitive to stress cracking corrosion. Among other things, it is applied in the production of phosphoric acid, in the offshore technology and in flue-gas washing devices. In the new edition of the DIN 17744 : 2002-09, the material is not contained any more.

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
