Description

EN-GJN-HV520 consists of eutectical carbides of type M3C (M=Fe, Cr) in a matrix, which contains mostly martensite and sometimes bainite and austenite. The comparable G-X 260 NiCr 4 2 acc. DIN 1695 : 1981-09 (invalid) is characterised by a high wear resistance and applicable at moderate impact stress. The correlation between thickness of cast iron and chemical composition exist: - Thickness of cast iron up to 25 mm: Si:0,50%, Mn:0,40%, Ni:3,4%, Cr:1,8% - Thickness of cast iron > 25 bis 50 mm: Si:0,40%, Mn:0,50%, Ni:3,8%, Cr:2,0% - Thickness of cast iron > 50 bis 100 mm: Si:0,40%, Mn0,50%, Ni:4,2%, Cr:2,5% - Thickness of cast iron > 100 mm: Si:0,40%,Mn:0,60%,Ni:4,5%,Cr:3,0%. For thicknesses far 100 mm it is recommended to increase the Ni-content. Cast parts made of cast iron with 4 % Ni and 2 % Cr are mostly delivered and used as unfinished casting (naturally hard)
