Description

EN-GJN-HV600 consists of eutectical carbides of types M7C3 and M3C (M=Fe, Cr) in a matrix, which contains mostly martensite and sometimes bainite and austenite. The comparable G-X 300 CrNiSi 9 5 2 acc. DIN 1695 : 1981-09 (invalid) is characterised by a high wear resistance and applicable at moderate impact stress. The wear resistance increases with the carbon content while the impact resistance decreases. The correlation between thickness of cast iron and chemical composition exist: - Thickness of cast iron up to 25 mm: Si:1,90%, Mn:0,40%, Ni:4,5%, Cr:8,5% - Thickness of cast iron > 25 bis 50 mm: Si:0,40%, Mn:0,50%, Ni:3,8%, Cr:2,0% - Thickness of cast iron > 50 bis 100 mm: Si:1,80%, Mn:0,50%, Ni:5,0%, Cr:9,0% - Thickness of cast iron > 100 mm: Si:1,60%, Mn:0,60%, Ni:5,5%, Cr:9,5%.. For thicknesses far 100 mm it is recommended to increase the Ni-content. Cast parts made of cast iron with 5 % Ni and 9 % Cr are mostly delivered under heat treated conditions.

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
