Description

The alloy AlMn1Mg1 has similar properties like AlMn1, however it reaches higher strength (to F 26). It has also relatively high strength in the soft condition, but it is well cold fomrable. The alloy belongs to the nature-hard aluminum materials. A strength increase can be achieved, not by a purposeful heat treatment only by cold forming. It is very well warm and cold transformable and is suitable to the deep-drawing (no lappet formation). The alloy is very corrosion and sea water-steadily. The main field of application, the packing, determines the kind of semi-finished material standardized according to DIN 1788 and DIN 1745 (sheet metal and strip). Application: In the packing (DIN 59606) for cans (dose lower parts, abgestreckte doses), breaking covers and catches of all kinds. In the building industry for roofings (usually profile boards), claddings as well as for roll shutter and roll gates.

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
