Description

Chemical composition: DIN 17851 TiAl6Zr5Mo0.5Si with the material number 3.7155 (see also TiAl6Zr5Mo0.5Si, 3.7154, according to Werkstoff - Leistungsblatt der Deutschen Luftfahrt WL 3.7154) is an alpha + beta-alloy. Like 3.7l44 or 3.7145, the material was developed for the application at higher temperatures and possesses good strength and creep behaviour up to about 550 degrees C. The material 3.7155 is more susceptible to stress cracking corrosion in NaCl-solution than the materials TiAl6V4 or TiAl4Mo4Sn2Si. Processing properties: Weldability: good (chiefly tungsten inert-gas and electron beam welding) Application: It is applied particularly in the engine manufacturing for construction components like compressor discs and blades that are highly stressed at elevated temperatures (main application range between 300 and 450 °C).

Related Standards

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
