Description

TiAl6V6Sn2 with the material number 3.7174 (see also TiAl6V6Sn2, material number 3.7175 according to DIN 17851-90) belongs to the hardenable alpha + beta-titanium alloys. It is similar to the 3.7164 or 3.7165 (TiAl6V4), yet the ß-phase is more stable and the material shows higher strength. TiAl6V6Sn2 is applied in the form of bars and forgings in the annealed as well as in the hardened condition (up to a thickness of 50 mm). Sheets and plates are used in the annealed condition. TiAl6V6Sn2 possesses good resistance to corrosion, it is well forgeable, the long-term application temperature is approximately 350 °C. Processing properties: Formability: limited (cold forming), good (hot forming) Weldability: : limited (embrittlement of the welding and heat affected zone by transformation hardening, electron-beam welding)

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
