Description

AgCu28, also known as Ag72Cu28 or 72Ag28Cu, is ductile, has good spring properties, is sulfur sensitive, and is non-oxidation resistant. It is machinable, roll-cladable and conditionally separable from the gas phase. Application: AC and DC switches for power and telecommunications at switching currents up to 10 A, occasionally up to 25 A, more rarely at higher currents and as a silver-based vacuum braze alloy for electron tubes (soldering range 780 to 900 °C).
