Description

The gold-silver-platinum AuAg25Pt6, also Au69Ag25Pt6 or 69Au25Ag6Pt, has a very good corrosion behavior but low wear behavior. The gold alloy is used for switch contacts and plug contacts (plug connector, recommended contact force> 100 cN). It is ductile and corrosion-resistant. AuAg25Pt6 is machinable, roll-cladable, and can be separated from the gas phase. It has higher hardness and better abrasion resistance compared to higher-grade gold alloys (load range 1).
