Description

The gold-cobalt material AuCo5, also Au95Co5 or 95Au5Co, Au/Co95/5, is used for switch contacts (average loads in the current range up to 300 mA at voltages below 12 V) (standard material). The cobalt additive slightly suppresses the tendency of the gold to stick. The alloy has increased resistance to material migration and is relatively hard and abrasion resistant.
