Aluminium feather edges (trapezium shaped) are used for final surface finishing, levelling and ruling off plaster on floors and when flattening of the surface is needed. The sharp edge is crucial so the user can get right into the angle & have the sharpest angles possible.
Feather and straight edge aluminium rulers are easy to manoeuvre. They are manufactured with one tapered and one flat edge.
Aluminium feather edges by Braz Line are made from the AD-31 aluminium alloy (EN AW 6060) and AD-35 aluminium alloy (EN AW 6082) and are perfect to screed walls and straight uneven surfaces.
Aluminium is both lightweight and durable, making it ideal for this application. Aluminium which is used in feather edges is often anodised in order to increase the resistance to corrosion and wear. They are available in different:
Shapes (trapezium, rectangular)
Special features (with a rigidity edge of 1 mm and wall thickness 1 mm)
Application area (surface of walls and floors)
Intended use (to trim the plaster layer or for levelling on horizontal and vertical surfaces)
Feather and straight edge aluminium rulers are used to ensure floors and walls are even and smooth, ready for the decorative finish.
