Other | Blocking / Leakage: In case blocking of flexibag valve and leakage on flexibag occur, it is advised to contact LG Chem (Refer to below contact number.) immediately for help from professionals in place. FIFO: LG Chem’s NBR latex should be consumed in First-in, First-out Rule Storage conditions: Keep the latex in the temperature from 5°C to 40°C for the storage so as for NBR latex not to be frozen at below 0°C and also not to be destabilized at high temperature for long period. LG Chem is able to confirm that the latex is stable for 6 months from production date. Bacteria: LG NBR latex complies with FDA regulation. Also, biocide can be decomposed by exposure to air, leading to less biocide in NBR latex. Therefore, it is recommended to use latex as soon as possible after receiving. Though bacteria occurs, compound pH of > 9.5, more preferably >10.0, makes bacteria not survive by pH shock (pH 6~9 is ideal range for bacteria, so bacteria cannot survive in higher pH.). If bacteria emerges, contact LG Chem for solutions. Cream / Lump: It is important to stir NBR latex mildly in the storage tank to prevent cream / lump from being formed. If not agitated, cream / lump is naturally formed on the surface of latex by repetitive evaporation and condensation. Tank cleaning: Storage tank should be cleaned on a regular base using chemicals or hot steam to keep storage tank safe from bacteria and clean by removing latex films built on the wall and bottom of the tank. Filtering: Filtering NBR latex with mesh before latex compound preparation and flowing to dipping tank is recommended as coagulum or foreign materials may cause pinhole or other issues. Compounding: NBR latex is recommended to be compounded per LG Chem’s suggestions, normally requiring more KOH to achieve better glove qualities with less pinhole, flowmark, etc. Please contact LG Chem to get optimal recommendations for LG Chem’s NBR latex. (Note that NBR latex of LG Chem has a tendency to exhibit more pH drop as ammonia evaporates.) Additive (Defoamer): Mineral type defoamer should be diluted to 1% concentration to maximize its effect. Shortly after agitating defoamer mildly, put it into latex compound tank to avoid phase separation to water and defoamer. |
