Description

Material CuZn37Pb0,5, mat. No. CW604N, is an unhardenable wrought alloy. To the comparable make CuZn37Pb0,5, mat. No. 2.0332 acc. to DIN 17660 : 1983-12 applies: High hardness and strength parameter are achievable by cold forming only. Thermal and electrical conductivity are lower than for the unleaded brass grade of the same Zn-content. Machinability is improved by Pb-addition. Corrosion resistance to water, several saline solutions and organic liquids is also lower than for unleaded alloys of the same zinc-content. Processing properties: warm forming: good cold forming: good machinability: good hard soldering: moderately soft soldering: very good TIG-welding: moderately burnishing: very good Application: for extruded profiles of high accuracy, for circuit boards and wheels for watch industry as well as for pressure brass components.

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
