Description

CuAl8Fe3 (CW303G) is a wrought alloy of high strength, also at increased temperatures. The strength properties of cold formable wrought alloys are primarily dependent on the deformation grade. Tensile strength, yield strength and hardness rise according to the increasing cold forming grade. Elongation after fracture and contraction at fracture are decreasing. Thermal conductivity is reduced by the Al-content, electrical conductivity decreases according to the increasing AL-content. CuAl10Fe3Mn2 has a high strength at high temperatures up to approx. 300°C and a high endurance strength also at corrosion strain. The alloy is scaling resistant , shows a high wear resistance and a high corrosion resistance to saltwater, sulfite bases and mineral acids, it shows no erosion and cavitation sensitivity. Processing properties: warm forming: good cold forming: moderately machinability: good soft soldering: moderately hard soldering: moderately gas-shielded welding: good burnishing: good CuAl10Fe3Mn2 is used for plates for condenser and heat-transfer bottoms, for sheets in chemical apparatus engineering.

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
