Description

Material EN AC-AlMg5 is produced as sand, chilled and precision cast. It shows the following casting characteristics and properties: plasticity: acceptable heat crack resistance: insufficient pressure tightness: insufficient workability (after heat-treatment): excellent corrosion resistance: excellent decorative anodic oxidation: excellent weldability: acceptable polishability: excellent strength at room temperature: insufficient strength at increased temp. (up to 200°C): good ductility (impact strength): good fatigue strength amounts 60 to 90 N/mm² ( best available casting method, values for vibration durability up to 50*10 hoch 6 cycles [Woehler diagram]). To the comparable DIN-mark GD-AlMg5, mat. No. 3.3561, acc. to DIN 1725-2 : 1986-02 applies: The alloy is unhardenable, castability is excellent. G-AlMg5 has a high corrosion resistance, is ideal for brightening and well anodic anodizable. Application: suitable for casting parts of high resistance to seawater and low alkaline solutions, for interior and exterior design, chemical and food industry, fire-fighting
