Description

Material EN AC-Al Si5Cu3 is produced as chilled casting. It shows the following casting characteristics and properties: plasticity: good heat crack resistance: good pressure tightness: good workability (casting condition): good corrosion resistance: insufficient decorative anodic oxidation: insufficient weldability: acceptable polishability: good strength at room temperature: good strength at increased temp. (up to 200°C): excellent ductility (impact strength): excellent fatigue strength amounts 70 to 100 N/mm² ( best available casting method, values for vibration durability up to 50*10 hoch 6 cycles [Woehler diagram]).
