Description

Material EN AW-Al 99,8(A) is produced in large quantities for sheets, strips, plates, scraps, rolled bars and wire and prewire for mechanical resp. welding application. It is used in limited quantities for pressed bars as well as for presswork components. It is food-safe. The material is comparable to trademark Al99,8, material number 3.0285, acc. to DIN 1712-3 : 1976-12. EN AW-Al 99,8(A) is well anodizable and shows favorable electrical and thermal conductivity. Smearing may occur on machining. Low mechanical strength, high strain. Formability as well as chemical and weathering resistance are excellent. Application: apparatus engineering, roll bond, Z-bond, household appliances, storage and transport equipment for chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry. Furthermore for roofings, facings, arts-and-crafts, packagings, extruded parts, e.g. collapsible tubes, tubes, cans, bottles.
