Description

The food-safe material EN AW-Al Mg4,5Mn0,4 is produced for sheet metal, strip and plates, HF-welded tubes, for wire and prewire for mechanical applications and as extruded and drawn components. To the comparable mark AlMg4Mn, material No. 3.4545, acc. to DIN 1725-1 :1983-02 applies: The alloy AlMg4Mn is a naturally hard aluminium forgeable material. A strength increase is achieved only by cold forming not by controlled heat treatment. It has a high corrosion resistance. It is resistant to seawater and salted atmosphere. Increasing Mg- and Mn-content complicates extrusion but strength and low-temperature behaviour enhances. Application: shutters and roll-up gates (sheet metal sections), in apparatus engineering for reservoirs (low-temperature tanks), heat exchanger, air decomposer and pipelines. In vehicle manufacturing for superstructures as well as for bulk and tank vehicles, motor busses, shock absorber, body and safety parts. In shipbuilding for hull, superstructure, radar system.
