Description

The alloy AlFeSi is alloyed for increasing the strength increase with Fe and Si. The material belongs to the nature-hard aluminum materials. A strength increase can be achieved only by cold forming. The alloy AlFeSi is very well cold and warm formable and has a good thermal and relatively good electrical conductivity. The material is particularly suitable for deep-drawing. It is well solderable. The material is to be oxidized well anodically, i.e. a shining clean surface develops. It is standardised as sheet metal or strip (DIN 1788 and DIN 1745). Application: for screw-type caps, for menu bowls, for light containers, bottle caps, cover containers and other form packing, for metal goods, like trim, decorated tiles, flexible pipes, various deep-drawing products, for heat exchangers and radiator fins

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
