Description

1.2311 (40CrMnMo7) Tempered plastic mould steel, delivery hardness 280 to 325 HB. Good machinability, suitable for graining, better polishing properties than Formadur 2312.

Heat Treatment

Soft annealing: 710-740°C (Cooling in furnace) - Hardening: 840-870°C and quenching in oil or salt bath T=180-220°C
