Description

1.2344 (X40CrMoV5-1) is a steel plate with high hot-wear resistance & hot tensile strength, good toughness, thermal conductivity that withstands hot cracking. Can be water-cooled to a limited extent.

Heat Treatment

Soft annealing: 750-800°C (Cooling in furnace) - Stress-relief annealing 600-650°C (Cooling in furnace) - Hardening: 1020-1050°C and quenching in air, oil or hot bath T=500-550°C
