Description

Modified semi-free-flowing suspension PTFE of the 2nd generation for moulding applications like diaphragms, bellows, shaped parts and skived films.

Special Features are:

  • Meets ASTM D 4894 - Type IV, Grade 2 classification
  • Produced by suspension polymerisation
  • Homogenous mould filling and reduced moulding pressure
  • Substantially lower deformation under load (“cold flow”)
  • Improved particle coalescence
  • Better surface finish
  • Dense polymer structure with very low void content
  • Low permeability
  • Good weldability
  • Improved flex life
  • Good electrical and mechanical properties Excellent chemical resistance
  • Low friction behaviour
  • Good flame retardance
  • Exceptional temperature resistance

  • Typical Properties:

PTFE moulding powder with semi-free-flowing properties and high bulk density is the preferred grade for shaped parts requiring improved flexlife properties, a denser polymer structure, significantly lower deformation under load and very good mechanical properties.

This material data has been provided by Matmatch.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
