Description

Common features of Zytel® nylon resin include mechanical and physical properties such as high mechanical strength, excellent balance of stiffness and toughness, good high temperature performance, good electrical and flammability properties, good abrasion and chemical resistance. In addition, Zytel® nylon resins are available in different modified and reinforced grades to create a wide range of products with tailored properties for specific processes and end-uses. Zytel® nylon resin, including most flame retardant grades, offer the ability to be coloured. The good melt stability of Zytel® nylon resin normally enables the recycling of properly handled production waste. If recycling is not possible, DuPont recommends, as the preferred option, incineration with energy recovery (-31kJ/g of base polymer) in appropriately equipped installations. For disposal, local regulations have to be observed.Zytel® nylon resin typically is used in demanding applications in the automotive, furniture, domestic appliances, sporting goods and construction industry.Zytel® 73G50HSLA BK416 is a 50% glass fiber reinforced, heat stabilized, lubricated, polyamide 6 resin for injection molding. It has an excellent surface appearance and gloss.

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by Matmatch.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
