Description

The in the quenched and tempered condition flame and induction hardenable alloyed special steel has a, compared to the common quenched and tempered steel, constricted range of the C content and a lower maximum value of the P content. The steel is suitable for flash welding, if prooved conditions will be kept. For better machining the steel can be soft annealed. In this soft annealed and also in the normalised condition the material is unrestrained cold shearable. A maximum value for nonmetallic inclusions by arrangement. Delivery forms: - semi-finished product, rolled or forged - steel bars, hot-rolled or hot forged - wire, hot-rolled - sheet, strip and wide flats, hot-rolled - tubes, coils, seamless - open die and drop forgings Application: car industry, engine construction, mechanical engineering

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
