Description

Steel L360QB is produced as seamless pipe for flammable media in condition annealed formed. Its yield stress is between 360 and 510 N/mm². The steel is weldable, its carbon equivalent CEV accounts for max. 0.42. To the welding seam (welding methods SAW, COW) applies a mandrel-diameter for the bending test of 4x nominal thickness of the pipe. Pipes are available with interior and exterior coating. Main fields of application are long-distance pipelines for flammable liquids (e.g. crude oil and natural gas products) as well as for compressed and liquefied flammable gases. Pipes acc. to DIN EN 10208-2 : 1996-08 also fulfil the conditions decisive for the consumption acc. to standards 5L, 5LX and 5LS of the American Petroleum Institute (API). When using these pipes has to be considered the Technical rule for flammable liquids (Technische Regel für brennbare FlüssigkeitenTRbF 301).

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
