Description

Material GX3CrNi13-4 is equivalent to trademark G-X 3 CrNi 13 4 acc. to SEW 685-89. It combines high strength and very good cryogenic properties. It is used at low temperatures in refrigerator construction up to approx. -120 °C. Material G-X 5 CrNi 13 4, material number 1.4313 is acc. to VdTÜV-material specification 452 applicable for pressure vessels acc. to TRB 100 (and AD-data sheets W5 and W10) from -120 to 20 °C. Further application for blade and guide wheels for pumps, compressors and turbines as well as for pump casings and machine components in hydraulic installations from -120 to 20 °C. Further application in the nuclear power engineering if the relevant specifications allow the application at -120 to 20 °C. The welding suitability of the steel cast is examined for the welding methods TIG-welding, metal arc welding and submerged welding. After the welding the material have to cool down under 80 deg. for an following heat-treatment. An double tempering or stress relieve annealing is possible. After the double tempering an decrease of the strength should considered. The cooling rate until below 300 °C should not exceed 80 K/h. By the welding in the production of thin-walled parts its possible to abandon the pre-heating, tempering or stress relieve annealing if appropriate verification was done.

Equivalent Materials

This material data has been provided by WIAM.

"Typical" values were obtained via a literature search. "Predicted" values were imputed via artificial intelligence technology. While we have placed significant efforts in ensuring data accuracy, "typical" and "predicted" data should be considered indicative and verified by appropriate material testing. Please do contact us if additional information on the the predicted data method is required.
All metrics apply to room temperature unless otherwise stated. SI units used unless otherwise stated.
Equivalent standards are similar to one or more standards provided by the supplier. Some equivalent standards may be stricter whereas others may be outside the bounds of the original standard.
