Description

The ferritic steel grade X2CrNi12 acc. to DIN EN 10272 : 2001-01is used for hot and cold formed rods for pressure vessel. The material shows a considerably better corrosion resistance than general construction steels, but it is more cost-efficient than high-alloyed stainless steels. Its corrosion resistance is comparable to 13 per cent Cr-steels. X2CrNi12 is unsuitable for higher corrosion loadings. In addition to its sufficient corrosion resistance and favorable abrasion resistance it shows high static and dynamic strength values as well as favorable and trouble-free workability.
