Description

Steel grade X6CrNiNb18-10 acc. to DIN EN 10272 : 2001-01is used for hot and cold formed rods for pressure vessels. The corrosion properties are comparable to 1.4541. The steel is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion also on sensitized condition, but it shows tendency to hot shortness under certain welding conditions. The steel is unsuitable for mirror finishing due to Nb-content.
